Support to Combat COVID-19 in Afghanistan

Like many other countries, the Afghan government has also realized the danger that COVID-19 poses us all and thus have announced a completed lockdown in many provinces. However, the government has failed to prepare a plan to support the poor and needy in this time of crisis. More than 95% of the Afghan population is living in poverty and most of them are daily workers. Staying at home will mean dying of hunger. HAWCA likes to thank all the supporters who supported us in providing emergency food and hygiene services to the neediest part of the society. However, this support was able to help a few people. There are thousands of other households and especially widows and orphans that require immediate attention. HAWCA calls upon all the supporters around the world to help us through donations and funds to save the lives of the people who are not infected by the virus but who might die of hunger.
Our special thanks to KNH, CISDA and Fons Mallorqui whose donations helped a lot of people.
