Emergency Support to Families in Need

Continuing the previous meetings with the poor families, this time we went to Deharaban-Qargha and visited some families, including Rakia.
Rakia is the mother of 5 children, her husband uses to work in the ministry of the economics of the previous government but due to high blood pressure, he had a stroke and is now paralyzed. The ministry did not pay for his treatment and did not even pay him his pension.
Rakia worked in an organization and was able to feed his children but now she has no job and for the past 4 months she is looking for a new job but has not found any. She has no choice but to beg on the streets and to send her children to beg too.
While crying she said “I wanted my children to become a doctor or an engineer one day, I and my husband had a lot of dreams for them but unfortunately my husband got disabled and I lost my job, I don’t know why this is happening to me and I don’t know what will happen to my children, every day I and my children has to beg to keep the family alive. Today neither of us earned anything and I was so worried about what to give my children to eat tonight. I am forever grateful to you for your support, may God give you all a long and happy life”.
